For sale is an Audio GD NFB-1ES DAC in very good condition. Audio GD is well regarded for extremely high build quality at decent prices. Sound quality is exceptional.
The NFB-1ES uses the Sabre ES9018 DAC chip and is fully discrete without any op-amps or coupling caps in the signal path. It has a non-feedback analog output stage with non-feedback Class A power supplies. A total of 6 PSU groups are used to purify the power supply. The NFB-1 uses two 50W R-core transformers (100W total) -- one supplies power for digital parts, another supplies power for analogy parts. More than 25,000uf audio grade, custom ordered NOVER capacitors are used to ensure ample and smooth power feed. To achieve silent operation, the control circuit is powered with separate regulator. This DAC uses mostly Dale and Vishay resistors, WIMA, EVOX and SOLEN caps. RCA sockets are custom ordered and 24k gold-plated. All transistors are Toshiba and Hitachi.
