For sale is my Cary SLP-05 tubed pre-amp. This unit features a significant capacitor upgrade, described below. In addition to the pre-amp, this sale includes an upgraded power umbilical cord (Revelation Audio Labs) between the power supply and the main unit and a Cary custom acrylic cover made specifically for the SLP-05.

The unit has been upgraded with 12 CuTF VCaps, purchased new from Parts Connexion. The cost of the caps alone is close to $2,900. The upgrade caps bring this excellent unit to a new level. The pre-amp is in excellent functioning and physical condition (minor wear). The only known flaw is that the blue operate light does not work. This does not affect the sound in any way.

Asking price $old.

The SLP-05 is a full featured, top of the line preamplifier with 2 balanced and 3 RCA stereo inputs, CINEMA BYPASS, tape monitor loop, vacuum tube preamplifier featuring (8) 6SN7 vacuum tubes. Vacuum tube head phone power amplifier section built in. Matching external heavy duty power supply with 5AR4 vacuum tube rectification includes front panel voltage and bias meters for the power supply. Standard with remote volume control. Jaguar Anthracite Black clear coat steel chassis and silver anodized aluminum front panel are standard. ZERO feedback design.

The package will be shipped in 3 boxes and include the pre-amp, acrylic cover, 2 power umbilical cords, remote, manual, and a set of tubes (8 6SN7s and 1 5AR4/GZ34).
Buyer pays for shipping. I will cover the paypal fees.
