Hi everybody I've been experimenting with HQ player dsd 512 lampizator and keep getting a hiss sound after the song is playing little under a minute. Now dsd 256 plays perfectly. I use a computer with ssd to run the system and regular HD for music storing. I appreciate any Help!!!

What is your hqplayer settings and computer setup. Assuming you are using Windows.

HI, Shadowlight ,yes windows 10. Dsd settings are; buffer- default. Dac bits- default. poly-sync-shtr-mp-2s, 48x256, dsd 5v2-256fs. These settings play fine. It's only when I switch to 48X512, AMSDM7-512FS that it plays fine up until a minute then the hissing starts. Thxs.

What is your pc configuration, processor, memory, cpu, OS, etc? I have a Lampi B7 with 512 DSD running on Lenovo LS140 (Xeon 3.4Ghz) and so far have not had any issues.

Any update?

Other than confirming that i was able to get it work with my newly updated/upgraded vintage Big7 I wanted to share my experience. I was obsessed with getting the 512 to work, it was fairly straight forward with my windows computer and a long USB into my DAC. But I wanted to send it to an endpoint andit got more difficult. And reading researching forever, then experimenting I kinda gave up. I am doing the old school 128 to my mRendu. I agree with some other threads that the new 512 engine sounds really great at 128. Until we find an easy solution to use the mRendu I may stick with that.

As of right now dsd512 is Windows only. Amanero has not released the code/firmware to support dsd512 unreliable method. I am using a windows based NAA with HQP embedded and so far no issues as long as I do not do anything crazy with filters, like using theatre ones :-)

My experience is that USB module and CPU horsepower are very critical to play DSD512. Higher CPU base rate is a must to play DSD512. At this point Xmos 768K usb module is the only one I feel comfortable with 512DSD playback. The mrendu with new 2.5 firmware can play DSD512 fabulously with above suggestions. I do not even use cuda.

Yeah I installed windows on my uptoned mac mini and got stuck there. I gave up never getting my workhorse to find the NAA. I'll revisit.

What was the error message that you saw when NAA was not discovered? Also, are you using multiple interfaces on your work horse system? Make sure the firewall is off on the NAA device.

According to Robert Reich, Lampi is about to finish a firmware update that will permit Lampi onwers to play 512 with an NAA. MR in my case.
