Title: X-CS wiring
Post by: lacro on 23 Nov 2017, 12:53 pm
What is the correct way to wire the X-CS Encore?  Should each woofer be wired individually in parallel directly to the Crossover PCB, or daisy chained woofer to woofer then to the PCB? Also, The wider terminals on all drivers are + is that correct?

Separate wires or daisy chained shouldn't make any difference.  Positive terminal are wide, negative narrow.

Daisy chain uses the least amount of wire and fewest connections

Thanks guys for the suggestions. The woofer terminals are pretty flimsy, especially with stiff solid core wire, so I wired both speakers at the Crossover PCB. Worked out well. Currently burning it in with a mono chip amp, before adding it as a center channel in my HT set-up. I will soon post pics in my original X-CS Encore build thread.
