Ref 9V2, one channel intermittently dead
« on: 22 Nov 2015, 09:15 pm »
I am new to this forum. I have a question, since my left channel Ref 9V2 died. The sound disappeared during use. I tried to turn off the amp and back on to no help. I left the amp turned off for 4 days, and when I started it up again it worked for a couple of days and then died again. Left it off for some days and it worked again for half an hour before dying again... Now working again, but I have left it off because I don't want to make anything worse.

Have anyone experienced something like this before?

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

You might contact these folks. They are the official resource for repair and upgrades for Nuforce and Nuprime products. I have no personal experience or connection with them.   http://mytdss.com

Maybe. It does not seem to react to physical moving the box. I reckon a cold solder would react like a loose connection that would connect and disconnect as the circuit board moves...

Please Move this topic to NuPrime Audio.
Thanks

It seems that I cannot move this myself. Can you move it?
