I am a dealer but not a Maggie Dealer.

I just took in a pair of Maggie MG-1 (circa late 70s early 80s) that look beautifully preserved, but it seems the tweeter panels are not functional.

I hate to give them to Goodwill, if they have any value (other than room dividers) and might wonder what Maggie Aficionados might think they are worth?

As well, if anyone knows the cost of repair/replacing the tweeter section, I would also be interested.

By the way, I used to have a pair myself back in the day, so I already checked the fuses and they are intact.

A quick review of a site called Hifishark (great for researching existing classifieds globally in one place), value is all over the place.

A set for repair on eBay for 200, and functional sets listing over 500.  None necessarily moving at those prices but I imagine 100-150 as is and over 300 if functional seems realistic. 

No idea on the rehab costs.

There is a pair of mg1 on the Mpls MN craigslist . They are selling both pairs of vintage maggies that need repair . He's asking $300 for the two pair
