Hi, I am new to the forum and would like to get some opinions on the Songbird and Songtower and their applicability to my situation.

Suggest you start a thread over in the Salk Circle   http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=82.0 with your questions for best response. You'll get lots of help & input, and likely some info from the man himself.  8) 

Note that things like your system components, room size/configuration, type of music preferred, will all help folks better address your questions.
