mpod/mpad abandoned by author?
« on: 29 Dec 2016, 11:15 pm »
James,

Have you heard news from the mpod/mpad app developer?

Appears the app is destined to be pulled from Apple's app store as it's no longer maintained (invalid developer URL) and outdated with the current version of iOS.

I agree Mike. Good app for controlling BDP.
Should still be usable. Just don't try to update it.

Once it's pulled from the app store, there's little hope to install it on new iOS device and can be removed after an iOS update (especially when they drop support of 32-bit apps)...   We've been in this  "don't try to update" mode since the last update in 2014.

I can only speak for myself.
I haven't updated an iOS on my devices for 5 years. For good reason, too.

Don't forget that Soundirok is being actively developed by the author.

Mine too, however re-starting Mpad prompted an alarm message from iOS "this app has not been updated recently and may slow down your system" or something similar.   Will use Soundirok for now as the developer is still working on this app, and I have some confidence that the few remaining bugs may be fixed in upcoming releases.
