With the exception of Ozzy's, Bark at the Moon- Live & Loud, best darn hard rock song I've ever heard.

Been listening to a lot of stoner rock / metal recently I didn't know I had (courtesy of a friend long ago). Ie Kyuss, Lowrider, some Queens of Stone Age. Sounds good on an ol timely Conrad Johnson MV75a1 tube amp I'm trying out. Thanks to someone on this thread some time back that recomended Trouble, a band I previously was unaware of that rocks!

Rage Against the Machine's Live at Olympic Stadium is an ass kicking album, regardless of whether it can be considered "metal" or not. I'm ambivalent about some of their other albums, but not that one.

Been a bit quiet here, so just gonna give a shout out to a metal album I just listened to :

If you're a Sabbath fan and you'd like another take on the classics, this tribute album is worth it. The vast majority of the covers are good, and the sound quality is also pretty decent.

Now have to pick up Nativity 2 I suppose.........

Clive Burr, former Iron Maiden drummer, dies at 56.

Thought someone would have remarked on it earlier. He may have only been the drummer for the first 3 albums, but these are undoubtably some of the most important. Not a hugh Iron Maiden fan myself, but have to admit they have loads of talent & one of the titans of heavy metal.

The new Black Sabbath single "God is Dead" is supposed to be released for air play on 16 April. The song is supposed to be 9+ minutes long.

UPDATE:
The new single is supposed to now air on April 18 at 3PM EDT. Sounds like most rock stations on air and online. Possibly SiriusXM Liquid Metal channel as well.

Denmark's Volbeat are on tour in support of their new album Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies due to drop next week. Their sound is heavier than on previous outings and the current line-up includes new guitarist Rob Caggiano ex- of Anthrax. I saw them last week and they really rocked. How can you not love a metal band that does a Johnny Cash cover ?
