Folks - made a reservation for 8 at 8pm.  It was that or 6:30, and that seemed to soon for those wanting to go the raffle or who are working the show.

Good decision, more time for drinks.  Oh, maybe we should arrange for designated drivers.   :D

I wonder if AJ still wanted to come, I'll send him a PM, oops, "cannot receive messages", okay then, never mind.

The restaurant also has a bar area......so things could potentially start there before the dinner reservation hour.........

I'm staying at the show hotel - but anyone is welcome to be the designated sherpa to haul me back - or maybe catch a piggy back ride w/ Klaus  :icon_lol:

If AJ comes we can have fun talking about Hi FI fuses.....

Sad but true - official closing is at 4pm Sunday, and many are already packing before then and out the door by four. Otherwise Sunday and Friday are the better days to go to beat the crowds.  Sunday may be the best as some exhibitors have finally dialed in the sound by then.
If you want to drive a bargain, you may have a little more leverage then too. It's a roll of the dice.

Again - wise words - I've done just that at the last two shows.  Sometimes it was the vendor himself who drove it.

I actually miss the swap meet room - I know it doesn't scream "high end audio show" but picked up some nice stuff that way.

Saturday July 26th @ 8PM for dinner at The Classic's Silver Spring steakhouse just around the corner from the show hotel.  Current reservation is for 8 - and I expect all 8 will likely show up.  If someone wants to join that group, best to let me know by this Thursday so I can change the reservation #.

I tried reaching out to Roscoe (and others from the DIY group) but nobody is responding to the thread.

Their loss.  The Classic's steaks can't be beat for the money - and how can you beat the company?   8)

So that's +2 for the reservation? Hadro & "tomp"?

What time should we do lunch?

What about dinner on the other nights?

I vote for that great little Mexican restaurant for lunch on Saturday. It's like two blocks away and I thought it was great.  Mas cervesas!

For myself I'm only there for Saturday and Sunday, so just one dinner tab for me.  I think several members will be there on Friday.

Pumpkinman, ET Carroll and I ate lunch at the Mexican place last year and it was pretty good. I would go back.
