Rocka,
A quick search for this turned up one used copy for $100 or a boxed set of 7 albums for $250 of all of the recordings at Ronnie Scott's.  Is it really that good?

Getting serious sticker shock from the price of used records!

  Hey wto, hope all has been well, haven't seen you around for a bit. That was a wolfy recommendation for DeJohnette fans. Have liked his work since the 70s, somehow had missed Frisell's work. Given my enjoyment of jazz guitar not sure how that happened. I think I get to Thank e-norseman for his posts leading me into Bill. Definitely a rather eclectic collection of styles. I do like Jack's drum work, and his piano ain't too bad either.

Have a safe & Happy Holiday Season.  8)

Ok so just when I was moping a bit about having time off, but away from my music, I did a little follow up to Rocka's Art Pepper post.   I came across several podcasts and videos that some of you might like.

The first is a documentary made by Laurie Pepper, Art's third wife, parts of which are on YouTube.  The soundtrack is Art's music.

A Brief Introduction to Art Pepper

Here are a couple podcasts that I found interesting as well...

50 years ago, John Coltrane recorded 'A Love Supreme' in Englewood Cliffs

The Holy Grail album of contemporary Jazz was recorded "in about four hours", amazing.

1st 3 tracks recorded 1963 at Newport, 4th track at Village Vanguard from 1961.
Very interesting as drummer is Roy Haynes - far different spin on some Coltrane classics (i.e., My Favorite Things, Impressions). Refreshing to hear them with such a different feel that Roy brings to the table.
