Hi all
I've recently discovered the new school hillbilly blues guys.
If you're looking for dirty funky soul, check out these "youngsters";
William Elliott Whitmore, Scott H. Biram, The Possession of Paul James, and C.W. Stoneking (an Aussie ).
Of the O.G.s; gotta love R.L. Burnside.

Saw them at a Veterans of Foreign Wars hall after their first album.  They were bloody great!

Eric Clapton: Me and Mr. Johnson

Listen to these two recordings back to back. I'd be interested in your impressions.

It was a sad day when he died in 1990. They had played for years in bars and fraternities and had finally reached a national audience just before he died. The original band can still be seen in the Chicago land area as the Chicago Rhythm and Blues Kings.
