Thanks
Alex

Mine's just the older original (cheapo) cd... Sounds great. Can't imagine anything sounding too much better.

Same here. Mine aren't any type of "special edition".
Alex, if you'd like, I can dig them out and get you the SKU. That'll get you the exact "edition".

Could you give us a pic big enough to read, or just tell use the CD title? How about a URL? Sample tracks would be nice. Thanks.

Forget the 30 second sound bites. Go to www.musicme.com to listen to the whole album.

It's a French site but you'll be able to figure out how to use it. (Probably the only word you'll need translated- "titres" means titles)

Charmerci,

Thanks for that link!

Let me ask the crowd this:

Looking at the Verve label, there are many artists that have been mentioned in this thread in one way or another.

My question is: Looking at the artists that record on this label, are there any really outstanding cds that are of demo quality?

So dig thru your Verve recordings and let us know!

All the best!

I'm voting for the 2003 release of John Coltrane - A Love Supreme.  (However, it was originally recorded for Impulse! records.)

Hello!

The holidays are fast approaching and I hope you all will have time to listen and post any new 'gems' out there for us all to explore and enjoy!

I am working on a list of all of the recommendations in this thread and will post when it is complete!

Its quite a list, but it will be nice to have a list to help people from reading the many pages in this thread..although its nice to read the comments from all the wonderful people that have contributed to this thread...

I hope to have this list up in a few days!

All the Best

Alex -

Thanks for all the great work on this!

I guess I'll have to dust off a credit card and get on Amazon when you post your list.

Ok gang....Here is PART 1

I had to split this up due to the 10,000 character limitationin posting on the board.
I have this in chronological order based on PAGE in the thread.
This way you can go back and read the comments of the person posting etc...

If someone wants to put this in a spreadsheet so you can sort but name, album etc..this would be nice, but its a lot of work to get there.but I would think it would not be that difficult to do this if if desired.

I know I might have some mis-spellings etc, but its close enough to identify the recommendations.

Lots of great stocking stuffers for sure!!
