Any plans to use the new RAAL dipole tweeter?

The tweeter is the new DIPOLE140-15DAM from RAAL.  Seems like it might be a candidate for use in a variation of the SoundScape.

Has anyone heard it?

Whoa    Can you link me to it?  One thing to check is its lower extension limit.  It would have to go down to around 1.8 kHz to work in the SS.

Solen has them listed in their catalog.  Here's the link to the data sheet: http://www.solen.ca/pdf/raal/DIPOLE140-15D.pdf

Specs say 2kHz lower frequency response.

Hmmm    Only $900 a piece.  And the specs are really saying that 2500 Hz is the lower limit on a crossover point.   The SS isn't a true dipole speaker--there's just a little more rear wave midrange information to add depth and a more realistic presentation. This RAAL would probably make more sense in a super upscale version of Jeff Bagby's open back design.  Assuming anyone would pay for it. But it is interesting.
