Can the HT-4 be separated, i.e., sold as a two piece speaker?

If one didn't have the funds to buy an HT-4 outright could they purchase the HT-4's midrange and tweeter for use as high resolution monitors (ala the HT-1) and then add the bass cabinets at a later time?

Hi     First, there is no HT4 yet.  The version with the Fal midrange would only work down to about 120 Hz without the woofer, and only at very low drive levels.  You could add a sub, but you would still have to cross higher than most subs can handle before they go into break-up mode.  The second verson with a mystery midrange might make it a little lower, but it should still be crossed higher than most subs can handle.   And once you're up in that range, it's best to use a passive crossover that 's optimized for the specific roll-off characterisitics of the drivers. .
