Kelly's custom dark cherry SongTower QWT's
« on: 3 Feb 2008, 05:13 pm »
Kelly wanted a pair of SongTower QWT's in a dark cherry.  He didn't have a sample we could match, but didn't seem all that concerned as long as they were a dark cherry.  So we did our best to come up with a nice color for him.  We veneered the cabinets in standard cherry and then mixed a special aniline dye combination to darken them to a nice rich hue.  Here they are...

And a close-up...

Happy listening Kelly!

Just a note on my new SONG TOWERS. Jim and I discussed these speakers
for some time....especially the color. The picture is great but I cannot express
the quality of workmanship for these speakers when viewed in person.
JUST STUNNING. They are stunning to listen to. Perfect mids and musicality.
Just the perfect amount of bass.......exceptional spacing in the music.
I cannot quit listening to these.

I have been down the road with speakers. I have used the usual suspects.
B & W...PSB...Focal...Quad to name a few. They were not entry level models either.
I have had the 800 series B&W....Platinum PSB.etc.

They cannot match the musicality and imaging of these SONG TOWERS.
If you are looking for speakers THESE ARE A TRUE AUDIOPHILE BARGAIN.

I am running them with a Mcintosh amp and Cary cd player. A couple of other
well learned tricks and tweaks going on. I am not going to write an Absolute
Sound article. They smoke everything else I had. The wife likes them too!
Little does Jim know about the bookshelf speakers I have in mind.
If you ever see these on Audiogon or e-bay grab them. I can only see
selling them if it comes down to eating or listening.....THANKS....Kelly
