whats the word on a virtue-DAC

I seem to recall Mr. Mardis (?) was working on one - when he still was with virtue ... I also seem to recall the "sabre" chip ...but i lost track somehow

seth, can you spill some beans for us (you can be "vague" if you must)

I love the interest but apologize for not being able to comply. There's a huge crater in my budget and some lost good-will from our aborted last effort. I don't want to make things worse by getting folks riled up over something half-baked. Development is hard and we've chosen to build unique products in-house. A miss is as good as a mile and until we have something on the shelf, I'm not going to discuss it. Sorry and thank you for the support.

in a way it did help ... I was debating getting a tube buffer this year ...

I guess I will put that idea on the backburner and see what will happen HERE!

Wrapping the THREE took more time than expected with Aaron's job, baby, and flooding in Ohio. We're onto the production DAC now but still no firm dates. Better to measure twice, cut once. Sorry for the delay.

There's a lot of couped up demand for the THREE and DAC. Aaron and I looked at the increasingly attenuated schedule and took an educated bet that he'd be better off finishing these projects quickly than punching the clock and letting them drag on.

Aaron will be a partner in these projects and I'm going to front-load his share -- I won't see a nickel personally until Aaron has more than made up what he was making previously.

I know you are all cheering as loudly as I am! We're excited and you're going to love these products. LOVE THEM!

Seth- You deserve all the great things about to come your way!!! This is when Virtue will really take off and all you guys with it. Its fun to watch and be a small part of, very cool stuff, very cool!!!
I wish you all the best!!!!!! ...you need to have t-shirts, Virtue stuff, spread the word.
I'm pumped to hear the new DAC, DAC/Pre with Remote--AWESOME!!! Perfect timing as my health stuff is making it harder and harder to walk and even get up to change the volume- to finally have remote volume control is huge for me.

We once made t-shirts for our first RMAF show. They said "I am an audiophile." It was a cool look - sort of a "coming out of the closet" statement (proud to be a geek!).

Would you prefer more of a plain, logo-shirt?

I'll do a run with the next set of pre-orders.
