Great thoughts, James! I also wonder how/if Bryston will change their approach on amps in 5/10/20 years.

Very good read from Roon's CTO Brian about amps going forward:

What is the source of this list, James?  Your thoughts, or someone else's?

Thanks,  -dB

Was listening to an NPR story today about movie viewing and marketing and the most revealing comment to me was that in the end we (individuals) are nothing more than data points. Now that is depressing.

Read Daemon and Freedom, a two part novel by Daniel Suarez to find out where we are heading, these two fast paced novels explore a not too distant future that is monitored by an all seeing AI program.

The idea is not too far fetched as computer code is now self repairing, learns and writes it's own code.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives such as e-mail, automatically transferring money, and monitoring power grids. Matthew Sobol's death triggers a daemon that connects them all. All the technology in the two novels has been invented and running in the background of our lives right now.

There are videos on YT saying that the some absurd laws that many countries adopt and do not solve any problems and often create problems that did not exist before are created by a state super computer called The Beast which run a large software to transform reality into a given target goal set by the gov.

Too dystopian, there is a tinge of despair presented between the lines.

Maybe you should hang around and add a few more audio related posts to your current 82 before you start spewing your distorted political views at the rest of us.  Besides, the only source of news that could be more biased than that which we endure in the lower 48 is the CBC.

Maybe you should just lighten up. Are you on someone's payroll where you have to defend every frivolous comment?  :o
