the Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Trailer really makes me appreciate my 2wQ sub.  wow there is no way the model 3 could even with 250WPC amp powering them instead of a 35 watt tube have reproduced those lows within that trailer.  By the way for the performance I used the HDMI cable from my desktop to my TV and used the DAC output of the TV to the BDA-1 External DAC into the two channel stereo.

Impressive. Most impressive.
I did basically the same thing, PC output via HDMI to TV, toslink SPDIF output to  DAC section of a modded Cambridge 740C. I did not set the output level to THX STD so peaks were maybe 90dB instead of 105dB. I would have been a real hoot at 105dB, but my wife would not have appreciated it at this time of night.
