Anybody upgraded the fuses in the player/ power supply? I asked Oppo what fuse they used and the reply was that it was non-replaceable. I have ordered a Synergistic Red for the  Modwright power supply and just wondered if anyone knew anything on the player.

The fuse inside the Oppo is of a pigtail type not easily replaced. The fuse has two short wires attached directly to each fuse end then soldered to the board.
I am very curious what your thoughts are of the power supply fuse upgrade. Please let us know once you get it.
Is the fuse 2.5A SB?
I am open to tweaks, a trusted friend suggested the Synergistic Research RED Quantum Fuse (say that three times) for my amp. I have to say this silly thing is a major upgrade. For the money <$100.00 fantastic value.

I use SR RED fuses in both my MW PS 9.0 and PS 9.9 power supplies.   The fuse direction should be installed from back to front according to Dan.
