DSP connection questions
« on: 2 Jun 2015, 12:00 pm »
Hi all,
I got my hands on a DEQ2496 to play with for a while.  I have a few questions...

What is the chain of connection when using one of these dsps?

How do you connect it to the speakers?   Maybe this is answered by question #1.

Thanks

It has both digital and analog stereo balanced inputs and outputs.

For analog, it would go between your preamp and amp.

For digital is would go between your digital source via S/PDIF or AES/EBU connections to your DAC.

I am trying to visualize how to connect the speaker drivers.  I am working with two way speakers.  I want to use this to find the crossover points...

The Behringer DEQ2496 is not a crossover.  It is an PEQ and EQ system.

The Behringer DCX2496 is the three way digital crossover.

Have not tried the CX3400.

Looks like the CX3400 is limited to Linkwitz-Reilly crossover types where the DCX2496 is more flexible.
