NEAR seems a little slow.  Almost like showing up at a party after the cops.

Nice! Mirrors my thoughts to a "T".

Best,

Paul  :green:

Well does anybody want to do something to change that?   aa

I can host something in April or May depending on my work schedule and travel.

Personally, I don't have much of a place that would accommodate more than a couple people, but if you are willing to host something I'd be glad to throw in my support.

I had grand plans of hosting a GTG in the near future, but with travel, work, in-laws coming soon, kiddos back to school, birtdhays, weddings... I still have cds in their wrappers... you know the drill.  I haven't abandoned audiocircle, but geez, I'd like to at least try for something before snowfall.

Hello,
I have been lurking around Audio Circle for a while, but haven't posted much. That should be changing soon, now that I am not as busy as before.

I live in CT, so I should fit right in to a New England Audio Group, geographically speaking.  :D

I will stop back and check in as often as possible.

Welcome chuckworkb.  Our group is very quiet.  Zybar kindly arranged a get-together this summer, and we had a great time.  Another get-together would be fun.  My home is rather small, but I could take the furniture out of my living room, which could be used for a listening room, and maybe we will get something going after the holidays.

Anybody there?  I'm in coastal NH and working on a large listening space in my barn which I'd love to use for listening sessions in the future.  Unheated and no AC for now, but hey, it's just a barn...  Looking for audiophiles/phools like me to get together for just that - especially of the DIY persuasion.  What's going on with NEAR?  Others?

Cool.  Welcome.  if you have ever thoughtfully considered the acoustical properties of hay, you might be an audiophile (to be read with a Jeff foxworthy drawl).  Heck yeah I'd be up for hearing a barn system sometime.

Now's the time for a barn get-together!  Not too hot and not too cool.   :thumb:

Thanks all.  Wish it were finished.  I got sidetracked by installing driveway pavers...  But I'm also working on not one but 6 amp projects and two speaker sets.  At least I should have something to listen to when I'm done.

I know if I had a barn I would build some monster horns!

Well, at last some project pictures as you requested:

The driveway with the barn just visible in the back.  It's now nearly done.  Oh...probably not what you meant

Here are some amp photos:

Captions describe the amps.  Speakers not photographed yet.
