Torus Isolation transformers
« on: 20 Feb 2017, 05:23 pm »
Hi

I know Bryston do the BIT range now but they do not seem to be available in the UK. I am looking at the Torus Power options, specifically the TOT Max that has an 8 amp rating into 240 volts and a power rating of 1840Va. Will this be enough to run my B135 along with my sources (LP12, Aria Phono stage, Auralic Aries and Vega?)

Thanks, I am really confused by the use of amps and how that relates to peak wattage on the amp!

Hi,

as far as I've understand, the difference between Bryston BIT an Torus is only in the faceplate... guys correct if I'm wrong.

I believe so, they are one and the same, same prices as well I've been told.

I ordered the Torus Power 75A wall mounted unit which I take delivery tomorrow and install Saturday.  You both are correct.  Bryston is re-branded Torus which Plitron manufactures.
