The F-1 is an improvement over the Amanero USB input on the Lampizator products - even with the microRendu.  Not massive, but it's there.  But Fred says there's a clock upgrade in the works that should close the gap.  We'll see, and I'm not sure I'm ready to ship my unit all the way back to Poland just for that upgrade.

No need for native dsd files.  Depending on your playback software (I use HQPlayer) you can upconvert everything to DSD or hi-rez PCM even redbook.

If you guys are still on course for your rave in October maybe you can compare dsd to pcm with the dacs Fred will be bringing. A guy on another forum had this to say about the Atlantic with the r2r ladder. Maybe converting pcm to dsd is no longer needed...

"The new PCM is every bit as good as the DSD. No doubt the PCM in my Atlantic DAC beats the PCM from my Big 7. Time to upgrade the PCM in my Big 7 - for sure. Love the fact you don't have to switch between PCM and DSD anymore too."
