But to get the most out of the pastime it's important to learn: music, what audio aspects you prioritize, then a bit about acoustics. Next gather a wide range of your favorite CDs/vinyl and start auditioning (just a few per day) and take notes (aural memory can be fleeting and will force you to be more objective).
