Very nice!  Did you build those or are they available finished?  Sorry for my stupidity on the subject.

I really want to build some MKlll frugals.....this summer.....gonna happen.
If I like them maybe some Maeshowes (sp?) in my future.

For now I'll just have to settle for my V-1s and my 15w MP-401..... :green:

I also have a pair of Selah arrays.....97db.....for my HT system.....although these sound wonderful in a 2ch system.....with powered subs of course.

i would love to hear the top-line oswald mills offerings.  i have heard the avantgarde acoustics duo's, and was wery impressed; they were being driven by some home-brew 1.5wpc tube mono's.

while i am happy w/my present horn setup...

i really lust after these...

While I don't have my Altec A7 VOTT's anymore, here's one that looks exactly like them:

These are my somewhat older model Parker Audio Model 95 MKII being driven by the Decware Zen Select SE84C amp (w/ the Hazen mod) which is also an older model (the gain knob is around back and I have the burn scars on my right forearm to prove it.)  The Decware is a low impedance amp which the Parkers were designed to complement.  The Parkers are listed as only going down to ~55Hz but I've never found them to be bass-challenged.
This system was my first attempt at putting together a matched system some years back and I loved the sound from the first note it played.  Cables and sources have been upgraded many times but I still feel like I lucked out w/ this combination.

About 90 db efficient but work surprisingly well with amp's 8W and above.  My Trafomatic 8W SET I use with them sounds divine - simply divine.  It blew a pair of MAC 501's away on some Dianna Krall.

Thanks
Bill

I still like these, but don't get to them very often...
this isn't my pair, but my Altec 19's are up in the attic.

These Altec Bolero's work nicely for me as well, and tend to be my everyday speakers.  I tend to run them sideways when space allows.

The grills look like this:

These are my favorites. Electrovoice Sentry III on the left. Me and my Dad had a room at the AK Fest that year. People still tell me how much they liked these speakers.

What a blast. That's where I met Jim Salk and Frank Van Alstine and Nate Field and Kegger and
Grumpy and Squidward and Tony Ho and...

Don't miss this event, nothing like it. Sorry to get off track.

these speakers, 91db/1w/1m, 4 ohm load, are borderline efficient, but they do quite nicely, powered even by my lowly 25wpc rasown gainclone amp.  i have them hooked up presently:

piega p5 mkII ltd's; coax ribbon from 550hz up; alum woofers below 550hz:
