Hello from Joe
« on: 17 Apr 2018, 02:39 am »
Hello,

Did not realize I should make a debut here. Apologies. I am dilettante and currently have a Pathos Classic One III and Triangle Celius speakers, a NAD M51 DAC, Technics Sl-1210 and Phase Linear 8000 TTs. Have a pair of Ascend Sierra-2s with RAAL in our kitchen/family. A third speaker is Golden Ear Triton 7s that I will unload. Previously had a Benchmark DAC-1 but the NADs appeared to be better. Use a Musical Fidelity A308cr for a phono preamp. I also have a couple of B&O turntables. The Phase Linear seems to be the best of the turntables I have. The Technics SL-1210 has an Ortofon Blue. Used to be an EE and in my yout :) and built some amps and speakers. Just came back from AXPONA and had a great time. Lots of equipment to drool at.

Warm regards,
Joe

Welcome Joe,

I know guys on the CarverSite Forum who would kill for a Phase Linear 8000 turn table.

Welcome Joe,

I owned one of those many moons ago (the last turntable I owned).  One can also look at the Pioneer PL-L1000, which basically is re-branded after Pioneer bought Phase Linear
