Kansui was Stereophile class A rated for good reason.
This a very low output moving coil (0.23mv), so plan on at least 65db of gain.
I used ~69db in the Vinnie Rossi LIO phono stage with great success.
This has the African Blackwood body, gorgeously carved and shaped by a master craftsman.
Weight is ~10g and compliance is 7x10-6 so plan accordingly for the arm.
The sonics of what came out can simply be described as "breathtakingly beautiful and honest".
It is one of those classic cartridges that just bursts forth with music, and is always extremely enjoyable to listen to.
I bought it from a reviewer with only ~100hrs followed by a complete factory checkup in Japan. I've put another 100 hrs on it since, so it is barely broken in.
As a special request, Miyajima affixed the tiny nuts to the cartridge so there is no fiddling with them when you install it.
