Yes, designed to go with a pair of line arrays. It could be a left / right speaker as well.

Could you clarify?
are you saying
It could be used in pairs as left and right speaker,
or it could be used as a left AND right speaker in one enclosure if used at the center of the room?

As a left / right pair. I've never tried to configure one speaker as a stereo pair but it's possible by using beam steering with DSP.
