Signature 30.2 LFP-V OK without a load?
« on: 2 Jan 2012, 02:32 pm »
I would like to occasionally have the flexibility of using the preamp (line outputs) of the 30.2 to drive a larger power amp without a speaker load hooked to the 30.2. Is it OK to run the 30.2 without a load? :dunno:

Hi 3rdRock,

Welcome to Audiocircle and the RWA forum!

You can run the 30.2 without a load, but the amplifier will be also ON and you might clip the output if you turn up the volume knob too much (depending on the input signal level coming in, and the input sensitivity of the power amp that you will be feeding).

So please take caution and you'll be fine.

Best regards,

Vinnie
