Right now I'm listening to the Mahler 9, performed by theDude and the LA philharmonic. Marvelous!

This followed an early morning listening to the Mahler 8, Michael Tilson Thomas and the SF Symphony. Marvelous-er! this is part of the MTT Mahler cycle.

The quality of the recording on both is very good, with the edge going to the MTT. The joint is jumpin' when these two cats get into their Mahler, as is the case here.

I have a few Garbarek albums (maybe 10 or so, can't check as I'm at work).This album is among my favorites (if only for part "Molde Canticle" ). I don't believe I've heard his work with Weber.
