Due to the rising cost of parts, D-200 MKII & D-500 MKII will have a price increase effective August 1st.

D-200 MKII will be $4000 per pair
D-500 MKII will be $6000 per pair

There will also be some cosmetic changes...
The front panels will have a new machined logo and stainless steel play/standby switch with illuminated blue ring. Also, the left-side power supply board mounting screws will no longer be seen... there are now blind standoffs on the inside of the chassis.
There are no circuit changes.

For now, D-100B will remain $1800 per pair.

Yes, the D-100B & D-200MKII use modified versions of the 400 with custom linear power supplies. Both models have separate windings & discrete schottky bridges for various stages. Low voltage stages are regulated, and high voltage is unregulated. They also have  DC blocking circuitry.

The D-500 MKII uses a custom full bridge UcD module with all things mentioned above.
D-200MKII & D-500 MKII also have smooth-start circuit, and remote trigger inputs/outputs.

Just as the NC1200 is not available to DIY end users, I don't think the NC400 is available in quantity to manufacturers.

We're working on a model based on the NC1200 but no plans for a 400 model at this time.

Can we assume it will sell for around $9000, which seems to be the level Hypex is requiring of retail sellers?

We don't have a retail price as of yet... still putting together our bill of materials to determine build cost.
My guess is that they will be closer to $10-12k a pair.
