Fleetwood Mac at the Moda Center, Portland OR on Nov. 22 An absolutely fantastic concert. It is so cool to have Christine back in the band and she felt the crowd's love. They played for 2:45 and brought the piano out for the final encore with Christine on piano and Lindsey on acoustic guitar--Songbird :thumb:

John Hiatt at the House of Blues (Houston) - 03 Dec 14.

4th row, two seats left of center. About 10 feet away!   :thumb:

This was a fantastic solo show. Two acoustic guitars, a neck harmonica, and one incredibly talented musician. John played for nearly two hours. Every song was great. Cool stories between each song. He played material from most of his albums and at least three songs from my favorite "Slow Turning". My girlfriend listens mostly to country music but said she was blown away by his show. Best songs of the evening were "Riding with the King", "The Tiki Bar is Open", "Master of Disaster", and my girlfriend's favorite "Thing Called Love".

Matthew Houck is Phosphorescent
Such a good show during the week to shake off the workweek.
At this show at my favorite venue in SF, he performed solo and it was wonderful.
Oh, that venue is Great American Music Hall.
As I stated before, any rock show that I don't need ear protection is truly appreciated.
I still want to see the full Phosphorescent touring band when they are close-by.

I knew of Tommy Guerrero but didn't really know his music. He is a bit of a local legend in SF. He played at a small community center last weekend. I was fortunate to be up at the stage. He sounded great with his bassist and drummer!

Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet. For our Valentine's date my wife and I went to the Cobb Energy Center (Atlanta) to see the Atlanta Ballet perform R&J. Music performed by the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. I must admit I enjoyed the music far more than the dancing.

Black Keys at Tampa Bay Times Forum - Tampa, FL - Tue, Dec 16, 2014

They were great and my wife had to have St. Vincent's album. Unfortunately the album is so warped that I will only play it on a cheap cartridge.  :( It looks like a large mountain range but the Shure M97xE doesn't sweat it. :)

This will fix your warped records. I have one and it works. http://www.vinylflat.com/vinylflatproducts.html

I've checked that out, but it looked like an infomercial too good to be true item. You recommend it? Do you use the oven or their "groovy pouch"?

Thanks,
Jason

I use the groovy pouch. I found I have to leave it in the pouch about an hour longer than the recommended time. I have one of the first generation. It sounds like they have improved it by making the metal heavier and increasing the heat of the groovy pouch. It does work, although sometimes I have had to do a repeat to get the record playable. It does not harm the grooves.

Awesome! I was worried most about the grooves being damaged. I have a few records that would benefit from that. I have more problems from the new stuff I bought than anything from the 50s-70s. Have you tried it on 180gram vinyl?
