Hi guys,

I didnt have a chance to a/b modwright 150 vs 150se.
For those who had the opportunity to upgrade from 150 to 150se, could you comment on the sonic differences and specifically on soundstage, extensions, bass control and imaging. thanks

Might yet be early for KWA150SE impressions, but I sure would like to hear what owners have to say about the new/upgraded unit in reference to the standard KWA150

I have upgraded to the 150SE from the 150, and it is a VERY significant upgrade. Much higher resolution, better controlled music, and a more natural sound. This is relative to the 150 which was a great amp in it own right!

Never heard the 150 as I went straight to the SE but love the amp and I had a great amp (of another brand before it that I never thought I'd replace).

Good to hear.  I actually heard the 150SE at Modwright a few weeks ago with Dan graciously hosting me and conducting the a/b session against the standard 150.

Yes indeed a very noticable upgrade. More resolving and transparent. More low level detail, awesome.

Thank you Digipete, it is true that we have not had an official comparison type review and WE know the difference here and those who have had their 150's upgraded also have heard it, but I appreciate your feedback here.

We still have ONE KWA 150 Sig. Ed. demo unit available from RMAF 2011.  We initially only planned to take one, but then decided to upgrade the Fritz Audio room to our higher end amp, so we have another available now.  Please check thread above about RMAF demo's or call us if interested.

Sincerely,

Dan W.
