Hi all,
today I went again to the store - warehouse called " Aliments Merci "
and bought some samples to try.
First, I bought the (Bio) oat meal,
because I saw that the oat grains are bigger
than the other brand I usually buy from Walmart.

If you remember, I bought some Stevia that was green powder
and tasted like green... grass...
This time I bought the Stevia in liquid form and
it's concentrated, that's what's marked on the bottle
and now after trying it, I know it's really concentrated
and it's cheaper in price to everything I bought previously from Amazon.

Each time I go to that store - warehouse they give me a small jar of all natural peanut butter.

Hi all,
I was looking for a good and reliable pop corn popper machine
and I think I found one.
Here it is:

Withing my budget at around 40CND $ on Amazon.ca
(Cuisinart CPM100C)
I will buy the corn from '' Aliments Merci ''
I don't think I will buy the bio type, because they are double the price of the regular one
but they are grown here and they say they are not GMO.

In reference to reply # 120 on oat flakes.
This afternoon I cook them the same way I do with the other (Smaller) steel cut oat meal.
I use a a double pan, bottom with boiling water and top with the oat meal.
I always use almond-coconut milk blend unsweetened,
never water or plain milk.
I always add some Stevia and a mix of 50-50 cinnamon-cocoa powder,
one full tea spoon that is.
Cook for about 30 minutes and voila,
but this time it was much more tasty.
The texture look smoother despite the much bigger flakes.
The taste remind me the oat meal my grand-mother use to make me when I visited her.
That's the kind I will buy in extra large quantity (2X25Kg bags) to bring with me when I return
on planet Vietnam, because there, they don't have the slithest idea what is oat meal, however,
they know what rice and instant noodle are...

Guy13 Iam a beginner in natural food, but I agree with some sites that says alkalize the food is the way against cancer and better overall health.

There is a cancer hospital in Japan that treats cancer just with water.
Its natural water and corrected in some parameters for better quality:
pH
RedOx
tension
electrical conductivity

Hi all,
I am sure you remember about the green raw powder Stevia
that tasted like grass ?
Well today I've tried it in my plain natural yogurt.
I had to put several small tea spoon of it to make the yogurt taste sweet,
I does taste a little grassy, but what the heck,
I don't want to trow away that green Stevia stuff, I paid for it, I did not get it free...
So, slowly, I will get rid of it by using it
and that will be the last time I will buy that green stuff for the cow...
(You know: Green grass.... )
Next week I will go again to the warehouse - store (Aliments Merci)
to get a sample of the white powder Stevia
that's called Le Natural.
It's supposed to be a one to one, meaning,
it's equivalent to one spoon of sugar for one spoon of Stevia
but with almost zero calorie.
All the kind and makes of Stevia on Amazon is quite expensive...

Guy 13

The Stevia mentionned above contain Inulin,
have a look at the link to see what it is.

Hi all,
this morning it's -4C and I walked (At a fast pace) one hour.
(Went to the bank and the convenient store)
I will go to Walmart to do my grocery for my next batch of vegetable soup
and that will be an extra 45 minutes walk, again at a fast pace.

Guy 13

That fat cat remind me of some people I see when I take the bus
or at Walmart...

I know, that's impossible, it's photoshoped...

Hi all,
I finally got my popcorn popper from Amazon.ca.
Cuisinart CPM100C.
First impression, I am surprised, it's very light weight.
Second surprise impression the built-in blower is a little noisy
and the heat coming out of the unit is surprisingly hot and a lot of it,
especially if you are standing right in front of the unit.
It draws 1500 watts.
I pourred in a cup (Supplied) of corn in the machine.
(The cup is supplied, not the popcorn... Of course...)
They say in the instruction manual not to put more than a cup of corn
otherwise the popcorn will fly all over the place and now I believe them
because I only put the cup 80% full and it did fly all over the place.
At first when start heating, about half a dozen of unpopped corn came out
and that's because the built fan is too very powerful.
It's very fast at 2 - 3 minutes, the whole process is completed before 5 minutes.
Since it uses only hot air, it's very clean, when completed, just wipe the inside with a damp cloth.
I am satisfied with my purchase.
I added to the popcorn some sea salt, but since the popcorn is not oily
the salt does not stick well to it,
so you need more or you have to shake the whole thing in somekind of closed container.
The taste is good, nothing like the cinema stuff,
but I am sure much more healthy.

Hi all,
today I bought at Walamrt a few tubes of tooth paste.
ARM & HAMMER band.
Extra Whitening Advance White type.
Below is the list of the products used to make that tooth paste
that I thought had more natural ingredients than it's competitors
like Colgate and the same...
(To me ARM & HAMMER main ingredient was supposed to be (Only) sodium bicarbonate,
but look like I was wrong.)
Aqua, aroma, cellulose gum, glycerin, silica, sodium bicarbonate (So far, not too bad...)
now it gets more scary...
sodium lauroylsarcosinate, sodium lauryl sulfate,
then these:
sodium saccharin, sorbitol
and these really scary names, directly from a Frenkeinstein movie
tetrasodium pyrophosphate, titanium dioxide,
yes, like the metal use on the space shuttle....
My God, that stuff sure look scary and I will put all those ingredients in my mouth
and maybe swallow a little...
According to Wikipedia descrition, they are all safe...
I did not check other brand names, but I am sure their ingredients are as scary
as the ones in ARM & HAMMER.  :(

Hi all.
For now, I don't have much to say, write and post,
but in a few days I will get some more Stevia
that is not concentrated,
it's 1 spoon of Stevia equal 1 spoon of sugar,
but with near zero calories.
I will also buy soon raw bio honey to try in hot water,
I read somewhere that it's very good for the body.
To be taken prior to eat breakfast...
Stay tuned, don't go away, come back often,
more to come.

Hi all,
I am trying to find the best tasting Stevia.
My first trial was with the KAL Pure Stevia with maltodextrin.
I needed only a small scoop (Supplied) to taste very, very sweet.
Since it contain maltodextrin and according to my searches
on the Internet it not by or not good depending of who comments,
I am not sure if on a long term it will be good for my health.
There are some types (Different process) of maltodextrin that are better than other,
but the problem is that the label on the bottle don't tell much...
I just bought a 250g bottle of Stevia (See below) and with it's One to One ratio
I am afraid that it wont last me long, since it's one spoon of Stevia
to taste like one spoon of regular sugar.
The store '' Aliments MERCI " sell it for 17.99 CND$
which is much cheaper than what Amazon.ca sell it for.
The taste is O.K. but still not like my KAL Pure Stevia.
So now... ??? I will still keep looking.

Hi all,
up to now
or for the past three years I've tried five different makes - types of Stevia
in liquid and powder form
and the best tasting one was the Kal brand powder Stevia
with the added ingredient (Filler) called Maltodextrin.
It was the one that really added sweetness to my tea and yogurt
and required only a very small quantity.
Unfortunately, maltodextrin seem to be not to good for the human body
according to many articles found on the Internet.
I am looking for a different brand - type of Stevia that taste
as sweet as the KAL brand and does not cost a fortune.

Hi (Again) all,
I just finish lunch and made myself the usual daily Lipton tea with Stevia.
This time I used the powder Stevia One to One.
(One tea spoon of Stevia equal one tea spoon of sugar, less the caliries.)
I must say the tea spoon was full, overloaded
and this time I could taste some sweetness,
not as much-good as my former KAL stevia (With maltodextrin)
but almost as good.
But at that rate, the 500gr - 17 CND bottle won't last long... :(

Hi all,
I wanted to see with my bottle of NOW brand,
Better Stevia Organic Extract powder
if I use more than what they recommended
and with a small tea spoon full, to my surprise,
it tasted good, exactly the way I like it.
So now, I new to find a (new) supplier other than Amazon
with the lowest possible price.
I've noticed that on many items,
Amazon don't have the lowest prices.
This morning I spoke with '' Aliments MERCI '' here in Montreal
and he will try to get me some at the price I want to pay.
I am anxious to see what will come up with my request.
