I have a 36.5DM for several years.  I substituted most of the factory tubes (rectifiers and 6H30s).  I'd think they would last several thousand hours under normal usage.  Don't know about the phono stage

Do all tubes in the modwright 36.5 and separate power supply last about the same hours?

Is swapping the stock Modwright tubes to others a big upgrade or personal preference?

thanks

I found them a nice upgrade. I also upgraded the fuses (Synergy HiFi).  I would not call it night and day but a nice upgrade.  I got the (Create) Synergy Hi-Fi 5AR4s too.  Do a search here - there are threads about their tubes and reviews at 6 Moons.  Not horribly price at $80 each.  I also put their 12AU7s in another (Odyssey) preamp in a secondary system.

Here some posts about the (Modwright) preamp tubes on another forum, FYI - http://www.whatsbestforum.com/showthread.php?10874-6H30-tube-life

Note that one guy replaced them after 6,000 hours
