Thanks all!

PeteG - love the pictures, especially the first one. Where was this taken?

Happy holidays/ Thanksgiving everyone!  :)

Looks like the very distinctive mountain features at Bear Lake, our little local Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Happy Thanksgiving yerselfs!

Yes it is John, one of the few places that is close with little light pollution.

One of these days, I'll have to get back to Colorado and take some pictures. Such a wonderful place.

Here's something to (hopefully) help folks that are experiencing brutal winters. These are some pictures I took while at a local arboretum over the Thanksgiving weekend. I was using a macro lens, but I obviously didn't (wasn't able to) get super close, but thought I'd post it here anyway.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Even suffering heat and lack of water the desert plants can be beautiful.
Thanks to Jesus for that.

Some really fun kids' portraits from a recent birthday party. Those were fruit kabobs... a great party snack!

Here's an interesting street scene that combines our love for both music and photography. These gypsies were great! Too bad it was so cold.

My ten year old daughter.... (you recall the little speaker building gal?)
One single word hasn't made me laugh so hard, in a long time.

Out of the mouths of babes, just a few days after she wrote that cute little name, she commented on my bald spot getting bigger.  :?

Wow. If that's the product of "fun and memories", I'd be interested in seeing what you do when it counts!
Needless to say, I'm very impressed with your skills.

There are a few here that should quit their day job and seek photography as their main profession.
So if any of you (and you know who you are) have been contemplating photography as a new path in life, "Yes". Do it.  :thumb:
