Light Harmonic Geek Out 450 chip ?

Just curious what chip this dac uses ...... is it TI PCM1795 or ESS Sabre Reference 9018M ?

I believe they started out using the PCM1795 on their first prototype but switched the ES9018M after testing with that chip. That is what is in production.

I believe it is the ES9018K2M, although I didn't open mine up to actually look.

John is correct.

Just got my Geek Out 450 on Saturday. Finally got to use it today. Very impressed.

Definitely glad that their forum had a step by step how-to on getting DSD working with FOOBAR2000.
