None of these SACDs are $5.98...what's the problem?
Do you have to call them?
T

Sale is over. :icon_twisted:
The fine print at the bottom of the page says that "Offer good while supplies last." Apparently the supplies were very limited. Well...they got you to visit their website. :icon_lol:

"June Blowout '09
Unfortunately, this sale had to be discontinued on Friday, June 12.  The titles are still listed below at their regular price."

Bummer... Looks like they didnt think they would get hit this hard with sales or something...

I actually received an email from Concord saying "We apologize for this mishap. The sale was ended abruptly." They didn't give a reason for ending the sale.

Just checked in on the COncord site...didn't see a shipping date for my order, but noticed that one of my selection had a $0.00 price, Donald Runnicles & Alanta CO, Orff: Camina Burana...either they intend to ship it as a free bonus or its off the table.

Anybody received their SACD orders?  I ordered mine early in the feeding frenzy and haven't seen them yet.

Thanks for posting this - I received my 3 this Wednesday.

I just need to ask the question with a new thread on how to transfer these to a HD - the faciliator is looking for a challenge :dunno:

Phil,
There is no transferring of the SACD content, period...it's completely proprietary unless you have a pro DSD recorder.  The redbook (if it's a Hybrid SACD) is just the normal process of ripping via EAC, etc.

Hi Ted, I was being ironic about the SACD challenge knowing it was a tough one to accomplish.
Anyway, don't want to hijack this thread but I recall that a Swiss company had a mod for SACD players that allowed you to take a direct feed?  I might be wrong, but I would love to find a way to do this.

Phil,
There are a couple of mod companies that do 3 and 4 spdif outputs for some (read: few) SACD players.  These multi-spdif Boards were developed mainly for the proprietary multi-spdif inputs on Meridian (and a couple of Lexicon) processors.  I've spken several times with the folks at DVD_Upgrades, the Swiss firm, as well as Shawn Fogg, who has a much less expensive board he'll install (although i think he stopped doing that one).  His company is Switchbox.  These boards downsample SACD to 24/88.2 PCM.  To me a much better alternative is to modify the analog outs, visa vi Modwirght, etc. and keep the high 1 bit 2.82Mghz resolution...but the board mod is a solution, yes.  John Kotches (Stereophile, Wide Screen review) has been using the Swiss board for as long as we've emailed each other, like 5 years.

http://www.switch-box.com/3x_S_PDIF_Transceiver_(In_Out)_board.html

Edit:  I ping'd DVD_Upgrades and they still have the boards, now available at 24/176 too.  Hmmmm....   :)  Your paying for four extra channels of mod you won't need, unless using a Meridian or Lex (MC-1, at least) for mch too.
