Long time listener, first time caller - used the search function but couldn't find a similar topic.

So my dumb question of the day: Is there no alternative to the PS3, i.e. extracting the SACD ISO or files from some of the Blu-Ray SACD players out there (e.g. BD-S380 Sony)?  With SACD playback (and DSD output) and a CAT5 connection, I'd imagine doing some kind of firmware update to a stand alone player might be possible.

Again, probably a dumb question, and sadly not a programmer, but I thought I'd at least pose it to our resident experts.

Nope.  Older eligible PS3s only.  You must not have searched very far cuz this is a sticky topic at the top of the list.  Please use that thread for SACD ripping questions.
