Okay this is embarrassing... in theory, I like it a lot; but reality is I purchased it just before Christmas and the shutter count is still less than 300. For some reason I seem to gravitate more towards my Nikon 1 system.
Apparently Spotted Lake is richly concentrated with numerous minerals, including magnesium sulfate, calcium and sodium sulphates. It is also thought to contain lesser concentrations of silver and titanium. These minerals combined with evaporation are supposedly the cause of the spots.
Anyhow, the light was very harsh when I passed by so I'm thinking of trying again earlier in the morning or closer to sunset.
