Best Media Server Software for Windows
« on: 28 Jul 2015, 02:38 am »
I am currently using XBMC and also trying out PLEX.  I like XBMC since it allows to play all of the songs from a Genre where as PLEX does not.

Looking for recommendations on what people have had best success with.

Thanks,
Jay

The  one I use may not be the best sounding but does work well and the bonus is you can control it with your phone is the
slimserver virtual player . The thing about is you can see what you are doing right on your phone so you can be anywhere on your lan and use it. The thing about pandora is you need a premium account unless you are very good at computers and  change the code a bit and make a fake mac address to make the software think it is sees something it doesn't.

Good luck.

You could also try foobar or jriver. Both allow for different things just depends on your needs.

+1 on those. I use JRiver and JRemote (either on a tablet or my iPhone)

I user JRiver Ver 19. I refuse to upgrade beyond that version because it no longer supports JPLay. If I have to i will drop JRiver and stay with JPLay with Fidelizer
