from another thread:

UPGRADE OPTiON:

If you return your BP20/BP25 to the factory and purchase the MPS-2 through an authorized Bryston dealer the upgrade includes:

New C-Series Faceplate
New (3) C-Series Knobs
New Back Panel.
New 6 Pin Din Power Connector
New Top
New (4) feet

Cost is $600.00 US (not including MPS-2) plus shipping both ways  :thumb:
Thank you for that information, but this seems a little pricey for a cosmetic upgrade.

Thank you for that information, but this seems a little pricey for a cosmetic upgrade.

It is more than cosmetic. Here is  Mike Pickett's email to me.

As long as the BP25 is upgraded to a BP26, you will get the same result using an MPS2 as you would by buying a new BP26.  When we upgrade these units, we rewire them to use the full capabilities of the MPS2, as well as cosmetically upgrading the dress panel and knobs to the new BP26 parts.

The price of the upgrade is $600.00, and you would need to purchase an MPS2 as well.

The current power supply for my BP 25 was an MPS-1.

Early BP25/BP20 users are looking for MPS-1 units  to upgrade from their BP-PSR power supplies. I sold mine for  $250  to the first person I contacted who was looking for one.

This reduced my cost to $350 for the upgrade, plus of course, the cost of the MPS-2.
This was more economical than buying a new BP -26.

I hope that clears up any confusion.

A Pioneer PL-990 automatic stereo turntable with built-in phono stage so that my wife can play her old, abused 45's from the 70's & 80's since I refuse to play these on my Rega RP-10 turntable.  I got it from Amazon Canada.

My 50th birthday present from my family.  A Bryston BHA1. Any suggestions on headphones. There is a little too much gain with the Grados. Always sitting between 7 and 9 o'clock

Have a look at the AudioQuest Nighthawk headphones, very impressive and at a very reasonable price!   :thumb:

Did you have a previous pair of Audeze's before the LCD4's? I love my LCD2's.

Sweet! Eager to hear how you like the phonomena.  I was considering the Nova, which I believe is related.
