Sources for DVD-A?
« on: 20 Jul 2009, 11:56 am »
DVD-A is my favorite high resolution format, but it seems to be completly dead now. Anyone know of some good sources for DVD-A discs? In particular, I am looking for Shaking the Tree by Peter Gabriel. I regret that I didn't buy this when I saw it at Best Buy a couple of years ago.

Ebay is a great source.

Music Direct also carries a pretty decent selection.

You can also find some good deals on Amazon or half.com

It takes a little more work and effort, but it is worth it.

Yes, Ebay, MusicDirect, Acoustic Sounds and Amazon are all good HiRez disc sources, as is CD Universe.  Also, the label websites (like Blue Coast and 2L).

The Peter Gabriel catalog is not DVD-A however; it is SACD (except for PLAY, his video greatest hits on DVD, done in very good DTS 24/96).
