I was only 12 when that Shirelles album was released, but I was to hip to appreciate it. Now, I can't get enough of Girl Groups from the late '50s and early '60s

Not everybody's cup of tea but a favorite among Pumpkins

I finally found a really clean, excellent condition copy in Denver.

I was 14 and listened to all those Phil Specter groups and the Shangri-Las plus the Shirelles, Supremes, etc. The 60s produced a wide array of great music.

Have you seen the movie 20 Feet from Stardom? It's a must see for fans of Girl Groups. It won an Academy Award for best documentary. A lot of neat information, and great music. You'll learn to dislike Specter, at the very least. It's available on DVD.

I haven't seen it, but you are the 3d or 4th person who has told me to get it. I will! Specter is a pretty easy guy to dislike, but his Wall of Sound sure had an impact.

Jefferson Airplane Takes Off

I think this might be an earlier pressing. I base this on the the weight of the LP itself.
In the 70's RCA had some of the wimpiest vinyl. This album was in the 6 boxes of vinyl
given to me by my friend Bill.

Fairport Convention: What We Did on Our Holidays
Sandy Denny's first album with Fairport. I've been looking for this album for ages. It showed up today better than I expected. First pressing in Mint- condition. I didn't care what it cost. I just took out my wallet. Probably paid too much, but after years of searching...

The above is their third album, After Bathing at Baxter's. I have the original mono and stereo versions plus the reissue. Great album! Here is Jefferson Airplane Takes Off

P-man,

It's amazing what a well engineered 5/16 by 3/4 inch piece of plastic with a tip I can't even see can do for your system  :thumb:
It's brought new life to my system

Thank You

Flo and Eddie! Who knew, when this album came out in '67, that those two would end up in the Mothers.
