Hello everybody
« on: 25 May 2017, 05:54 am »
Hi,

My name is Rob.
I have been on a quest for the perfect sound (to my ears) since the moment I hooked a portable battery powered fm radio up with a homemade speaker.
I now own pretty exotic and expensive hifi gear which I am enjoying on a daily basis.
I hope to find interesting information on AudioCircle and learn from experiences of the other members here.

Perfect sound is an endless quest.   :( :o

Start with recordings, most are mediocre, very few are excellent and of a genre a given individual enjoys.

Next, the laws of physics (as we understand them) dictates that there is no perfect speaker (or headphone).

Third, you ear/brain/mood/tastes will continue to change/develop so perfect sound would be constantly perceived as a moving target.

The list can go on and on, from compromised rooms, to missing the factors of the live performance.

But you can still enjoy reproduced music at home, even more so once you give up on the idea of perfect sound.   :thumb:
