Originally $700.00 (circa 2000-01)

These are beauties - the rosewood finish is truly stunning - it probably took someone in China 2 days to buff these beauties to the shine they have.  Really - I'm not one to gush particularly over finish - but these are really nice.

Sound - yeah, they are easy on the soul - and easy to drive with anything from 16 to 100 watts SS or tube (I had them hooked up to all at one time or another)

I owned them for only a year living in Washington DC when purchased from Sound Images by Hi-Tech in No. VA.  They are made by IAG - the Chinese folks that own the Quad, Audiolab and Wharfedale names now (maybe a few others, too, I'm not aware of)

I moved them to my Dad's in New York and he has had them in his system for the past 8 years until he went to an all-in-one Samsung Surround Sound system (alright, no snickering, my Dad is 81!).  They really sound very, very nice...but as this tends to be far more subjective than the looks, I'll leave that for the ultimate purchaser.

PayPal and Shipping is included anywhere in the continental US...we can work other arrangements if you lie outside of the US or in the other couple states or territories.

I am selling them only to free up a little room in my small storage area.

The product will ship in the original shipping box with packing materials - including soft cotton overlays for each speaker.  A real nice touch for a very fine little speaker.

Pics to come!  Any questions - feel free to give a shout.

Regards, John

(soon also to be offered is an updated Superphon Dual Mono preamp and Superphon DM200 amplifier and SAE T7 digital tuner.  Cheap n' Cheerful hi-fi if you're interested in a package price :))

Lotsa' reviews on the net on the Quad 11L's...so you need not take my sole opinion that they sound extremely nice:

Porn for the audio forlorn  aa

If you think you see any discoloration, et al....you quite likely do not :).  You are much more likely seeing the inherent resolution limits of the 3.0mp camera in my Blackberry and the fact that it was shot in the early evening yesterday.

To MY eyes (which I admit are not as choosy as one might be as a buyer) - these looked immaculate when dusting them down and packing them last night.  Let's call it an '8' on the Audiogon scale.

Not shown is the soft cotton overlays that go over each speaker and will be shipped that way (as I bought them from the store 9 years ago), as well.

I can't believe no one has snapped these up.  If I didn't already own a full surround setup of these they would be on there way to me right now.

Great price.  GREAT speaker.  Please don't make me buy these!

Nice little speakers (have heard them at a local dealer in the past), GREAT price.

Wish they were physically a little thinner in width, they won't fit in my living room system - would otherwise have jumped on these for use with my JVC EX-A1...

Sold! - to a certain gentleman in Arizona last nite.

I always try to price my used gear at value costs - low enough to patch over any differences in perceived condition with new owners. These looked very clean to my 47yo eyes...no 'crunchiness' in the finish or gouges; just real clean.

The rosewood is truly superlative.

This is a community I've spent 8 years at and much time - I don't want to slay my hard-garnered reputation with a deal that someone isn't happy with.

I think the certain gentleman in AZ will be thrilled with these - its really had NOT to like these speakers.  They play very cohesively and that 4" woofer is speedy to follow anything along.  Augmenting bass by backing these up to a wall and or adding a subwoofer will probably make playback pretty special for the new owner :thumb:

Next up: a fully updated Superphon Dual Mono preamp (with Blackgates) and Superphon DM200 amp (100 watts pure Class A, dual mono...and completely re-capped a few weeks ago).

A really fine sounding combo for a fair cost - $500 for the preamp (which has a killer phono and line section) and $300 for the amp.  All prices delivered to door within 48 contiguous US states.

SAE T7 tuner, as well....not sure of cost yet, but it'll be appealing.  Say, $100?

Again, merely clearing space in my small storage area (you don't get a lotta' house for your money in San Francisco )
