Contour switch
« on: 25 Feb 2006, 07:43 pm »
Has anybody tried or heard the HT3s with the contour switch?  I'm trying to decide if I should get one.  I listen to some bad recordings including punk and other heavy stuff,  My room is a little live right now but plan on buying acoustic panels soon.

I'm thinking about just getting it because it won't hurt anything, except for putting dent in my wallet.

Any thoughts?

I do advise getting the contour switch, it will make the speaker more useful over a wider range of room and equipment and recording variations.

I like the contour switch off with good quality recordings and with our current equipment, but like it off with "in your face" kind of recordings or equipment, as then it takes them back out of your face.  :)

How about if I put it this way...Has anyone wished they had it at times?   I think I'm just going to get it.  It can't hurt.  the worst that can happen is that I'm out $250 for something I don't use.
