Nice to hear a teenager pick up the blues torch and run with it ...

Markus King Band, "Can't Take It".
(Nice guitar solo kicks in after 3 mins. Also, the drummer does one hell of a good job throughout.)

Surprised I haven't heard/seen any buzz on him. The kid can play & has the vocals to go with.  :thumb:

Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam - Coming Up for Air
2009 - their second release.
Perhaps not quite as powerful as their first release, Roll Away, but very good music indeed.

I saw them perform their first release years ago in Atlanta - live, they were superb ... too young to drink, but they tore the bar walls down with their power and powerfully good music.

Quote
After hearing Back Door Slam at SXSW in March, 2007, Patrick MacDonald wrote in the Seattle Times: I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix coming from the open, streetside windows of a joint called B.D. Riley's. It was Red House, executed superbly by a surprisingly young trio called Back Door Slam, from the Isle of Man in the U.K. The club was packed and so was the street outside. Folks were transfixed by this kid on guitar, who played with a fiery spirit and sang with conviction, making the song his own.
