Cool Jon L.  It looks like the sign for infinity in a sort of liquid 3D shape.  Great title!

On Monday, birder Jason Ward tweeted out this crazy photo by east London hobby photographer Martin Le-May of a weasel 'hitching a ride' on what appears to be a European green woodpecker and the bird doesn't look too happy about it.

If you've heard of the term fight or flight, this is a rare case of fight and flight.

The weasel wasn't really riding the bird, but trying to eat it.

Weasels are notorious nest robbers. And it looks like Le-May got the perfect shot following a confrontation between a weasel and the woodpecker.

Been playing around with a new telephoto lens that I bought on discount in Germany. Having some fun taking winter pictures of your common,
everyday variety of midwest birds. Nothing exotic (eagles, etc.) like you real outdoor photographers. These are the little guys that show up in the yard,
and I stuck my lens out the window to capture them. At zero temps, I wouldn't want to get cold, mind you...  :nono:

Not long ago I had Costco scan all my old slides onto DVDs. Pretty good deal actually, with a 'sale' coupon was 12.99 per disc +. Now while all my stuff would have fit on 1 DVD, the sale price was $5 off the usual price per disc. I broke things down into 3 sets, thereby getting $15 off instead of only $5. The usual price gets you the disc with 40 some odd pics I think it is, then it's $ .17 for each pic/slide above the base number. Anyway, the disc comes with a "slideshow", a random slideshow with music, and a folder with .jpgs of each slide. Seems I had something like 5 Vivitar carousels, mostly full, so something around 500 slides and it was about $138 out the door with 3 discs.

Pics were shot with a Pentax KX, the stock lens that came with it (1:1.7 50 mm Ashai), and I think mostly Ektachrome. Will have to check the boxes again. Anyway, nothing spectacular or particularly outstanding, just thought after all the really stunning pics you all have posted which I've enjoyed viewing I'd throw some out there. These were taken in the mid to late '70s, so no clue as to any settings. Maybe there'll be something of interest to someone.

These were taken in/around Colorado -Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods.........

Kind of made me think of the house at the Bates Motel.

A park in Denver..

An 'artsy' attempt of a light fixture somewhere in Spokane, if memory serves.

Inspired by posts here I recently purchased a Sony DSC RX-100 MkII. Haven't had/made time to play with it yet, but seeing what everyone's doing with the new generation of cameras it will be interesting & fun to learn. And maybe at some point I'll tinker with the photo sites that allow greater res like photobucket, etc. A big 'Thanks' to beside123 for his thoughts, advise, & cautions on my new purchase. Maybe if I devote enough time to it something will develop ( :D)
